Before
Before the remodel, this Olympia kitchen had reached the point where most of its components needed replacing, though the existing floor and tile layout were sound enough to build around. The cabinetry was dated and offered limited storage flexibility, and the space lacked a dedicated island or gathering spot, leaving the kitchen feeling more utilitarian than warm.
After
First Finishers kept the existing floor and worked around the tile layout, moving straight into installing new cabinetry, an island, and updated finishes throughout. Timberlake cabinets in a painted "Vanilla" finish became the foundation of the new design, chosen to bring warmth and a timeless quality to the space. An aftermarket mixer lift cabinet was added for functionality without disrupting the clean lines of the cabinetry, and new hardware throughout gave the whole kitchen a refreshed, cohesive look.
The island became the heart of the kitchen, topped with a quartz countertop and built with a generous overhang for bar seating. Storage was added underneath, and electrical outlets were placed on either side for practical everyday use, with new pendant lighting above turning the island into both a workspace and a gathering spot. Two-piece crown molding was added to the upper cabinets for a more refined, finished look. The tile backsplash was selected specifically to complement a set of handmade accent tiles the homeowners supplied themselves, tying their own personal touch into the overall design and giving the kitchen a layered, custom feel.
